One of three teacher training colleges opened in 1945 was at "Wall Hall", Aldenham, near Watford. Wall Hall was formerly owned by Mr John Pierpont MORGAN (American financier - J P Morgan & Co, son of the founder), but then the property of Hertfordshire County Council.
