Parents for Edwin STEVENS?

Am looking for parents of Edwin STEVENS born 1862/3 at Bledlow Ridge.
Can find him on the 1881 census after his marriage to Clara Ann HATT living at Piggotts Common, Hughenden but cannot find him on the 1871 census.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

September q 1863 - Edwin William Stevens - mmn = Cartwright

There is a birth 1861 - Edwin Stevens with no mother’s maiden name

Marriage transcript does not mention a father for Edwin, Clara's father is Benjamin Hatt and the witnesses were William and Mary Ann Hatt

The fourth name is Boaz Tapping. Only one person in the 1871 Census with that name - his wife's name was Amelia.

So it does look like James Eyres married Ann Stevens.

You were spot on with the HARES family -  should have read AYRES.
Edwin was born to Ann STEVENS in late 1861 and she then married James AYRES late the next year.
They went on to have 9 more children and both lived to a ripe age.
Many thanks for your suggestion -  I would never have looked so laterally.
