Benjamin Newton and Susanna Gladnish(??) Newton would be my guesses.

I too read the same, but think that Susanna's middle name 'may' be Gladwish

There's a marriage of a Susannah Gladwish Dempsey to a Benjamin Newton in Elham, Kent Q4 1878
(though the date of the cert we are looking at isn't mentioned in the post so I may be way out)

Thanks everyone. The marriage was in Jan 1881 in Walmer, Kent so that lines up with the witnesses marriage.

Benjamin Newton & Susannah Gladwish Dempsey/ Dimpsey on Banns
Susannah was a widow, married 1865 Elham to Martin Dempsey

The middle name is possibly Gladiola with poor 'a' at the end or an extra 'h'.
