A House through Time - David Olusoga
« on: Sunday 27 October 24 10:03 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone watching this programme? We think it's a very well researched and informative programme by its presenter. We've learned so much about the 1930s in both England and Germany.

Yes,most definitely, all episodes downloaded one after another for some reason, so I’ve watched all four now. I have enjoyed the previous UK based series also.

Yes, I’m enjoying it too.

Much prefer it to his earlier series; which focused on slavery.

Romilly.
In this one the buildings concerned have no obvious slavery connections, so D.O. spent some time in the first programme telling the story of an ex-slave who lived elsewhere in Berlin.
Looking at ALSTON in south Ribble area, ALSTEAD and DONBAVAND/DUNBABIN etc. everywhere, HOWCROFT and MARSH in Bolton and Westhoughton, PICKERING in the Whitehaven area.
