Marion MacKay Polson - Leith.
« on: Saturday 26 October 24 13:49 BST (UK) »
Hello All,

I am trying to find any information on Marion MacKay Polson who I understand was born in 1909 in Leith.
At the moment all I know is that she had a long career working for the Royal Family at Holyrood Palace where she retired in the late 1960's.

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks All.

Also, it seems that some of the items relating to her Royal service are for sale at an auction.

Hi there

Marion Mackay Polson is my 2x great aunt. She grew up in the crofting township of Doll near Brora in Sutherland and went into service when she left school. She worked at Holyrood for just under 40 years when she retired.

I remember her well as she only passed away in 2004.

I was shocked to hear someone has sold items belonging to at auction last year as this included her service medals and her sister’s medal.
