Thank you so much, Sandra
I've looked through these and can confirm that this is indeed the family!  By chance is there any death record for Marjorie Watson nee Osborne?
Thank you for taking the time to research this.

Haven't come across her so far.  Maybe someone else may find her.

This is John Dunlop Osborne's wife Margaret

Hi,

Well done Sandra!!

The transcriptions of the 1921 and 1931 census are a bit off re: street names... 1921 Robert J is at 22 Belsize.   1931 Robert J is at 158 Keewatin.    In case anyone wants to find them on a map :).

1931 Toronto Directory says Robert J was department manager at Eatons.

I found an article in the Globe and Mail, 30 Dec 1960, page 4.   It explains some details of the accident.

It was a 2 car accident - 4 people died, 2 in each car.   Both drivers were killed immediately.  Robert Osborne was a passenger in one of the cars.   He and the passenger in the other car were injured, but both died later at the hospital.    The other car was heading north on Don Mills Road.   It skidded out of control in the slushy snow, and the south bound car (the one Robert was travelling in) hit the other car.
