Narrandera - identifying the couple in the photo?

Hi there,

Can anybody identify this couple? It is believed:
    -  the photo was taken in Narrandera in the 1880's
    -  possibly members of either GOODALL, WILSON, PROVIANS or WEIR families

Hi AB,
You will have more chance of somebody assisting if you rescan the photo from directly above it and include the entire frame of the mount.

Try using the scan option in the Notes app in your phone.

At present it is distorted by the angle it's taken from.

Are you able to say whether the markings in the top of the little shield above the rampant animal's head are text or pattern or what?

I actually don’t know as I only have a photocopy of the photo, not the original.

Not too helpful I know.
