Thank you Hanes tealu   I have just had eye surgery so I will look at the finer print when my eyes improve. The material looks very promising and I appreciate your help in sending this.

I expect this LONG family are the same as had a long standing feud with the DANVERS family of Dauntsey in Wiltshire.
In 1594 the dispute boiled over with brothers Henry and Charles DANVERS killing, at a house in Corsham, Henry LONG the younger brother of Sir Walter LONG. The DANVERS brothers fled to France for a few years until they were pardoned in 1598. The events are related in MacNamarra's Memorials of the Danvers Family which can be downloaded from the Internet Archive. It is also covered in Aubrey in his History of North Wiltshire and in the Journal of the Archealogical Society of Wiltshire.
Henry DANVERS later became Earl of Danby which is in North Yorkshire.
In 1593 there was an earlier disturbance which resulted in a Complaint to the Queen by Edmund LONGE Esquire of Lyneham against various people who were servants or similar to Richard and William DANVERS. My transcript is about 6 pages long so I'll not post it here.

Hello.

I am a little late to this, but see you asked about the Rudman family. I am descended from Nicolas Rudman of Rowde. Where are you Rudman from?

Thank you for getting in touch.  I am tracing the Rudman Family who came from Rowde, Wiltshire and immigrated to South Africa in the 1820 Settlers group.   I would be very interested to see your tree and discover where the families match.  I am keen to find documentation proving the family line.  I have traced a number of family members but am finding some details difficult to find. Would you be prepared to share the details you have?  I  am happy to help you In anyway that I can.  Perhaps you can personal message me?  Looking forward to your reply.  (I am in Newcastle, new, Australia)
