Please help deciphering word on Seleenregister 1839
« on: Thursday 17 October 24 06:51 BST (UK) »
Good afternoon

I am hoping that someone will be able to assist me deciphering the word on Prussian Stargard register 1839.  It is listed under the Column Bezirks (district and number of region) The number is clear #53 but the word has lines through it.   I am trying to establish where the family was residing in Stargard in 1839.   Many thanks for any assistance or suggestions.

Not sure if this will help but attached please find register entry.  It is on the right hand side half way down just under the purple mark.  On Bezirks column the number 53 is visible but I cannot decipher the word next to it.  Am hoping this word will show the district in Stargard family was living.

Many thanks.

Morning Fiddlerslass

Could be Markt, very hard to decipher with all lines scrawled across words. Will have to delve a little deeper to see if there was a district #53 in Stargard's market place.

Many thanks

I looked further through the book and there are some " Markt" plus a number not crossed out. The number is probably a house number rather than district.
