Need some advice please
« on: Tuesday 15 October 24 08:56 BST (UK) »
I have been busy slim lining both my trees and double checking at the same time (have one tree on Tribalpages the other Ancestry)

I have now come across a problem regarding my direct line, hoping some one can advice me where to go next.

Hannah Milsom born about 1774 Gloucestershire, married George Coole in 1803 Bitton Bristol.

I have always thought that Thomas Milsom and Mary Harding where Hannah's parents, but on ancestry trees they have Richard Milson and Anne Harper as her parents, they also have Hannah born in St Briavels and buried there.  I have Hannah's death certificate her year of death was 1848 place Bristol, George died in 1828 Bristol and buried at St Mary's Bitton.

Why did she not get buried with her husband or did she wish to be buried with her family?  Also I have come across two baptisms one in 1774 naming Richard and Anne as the parents, the other in 1775 naming Thomas and Mary as the parents.
Any help would be appreciated

I don't subscribe to British Newpapers on line any more - but can see the outline of an article in the Gloucestershire Chronicle dated Saturday 8 November 1834.

Law ford's Gate of Correction - Samuel WARD alias DAGGER, J PARKER Esq., for threatening the life of  HANNAH MILSOM of BITTON; in order to prevent her giving evidence again John WARD alias DAGGER, now confined in donees the Gaol for felony.

May be Hannah wanted to escape BITTON.

---

Gloucestershire GRO INDEX

17 September 1834 -

John DAGGER (alias) - aged 31 - residence : KINGSWOOD

----

Gloucester Journal - Saturday 15 April 1837

Gloucestershire Lent Azzies

mentions Samuel WARD alias DAGGER aged 28  etc  - charged with housebreaking at BITTON.
