1841 Scotish Census

I am looking for a 1841 census with Samuel Hay and Elizabeth Hay with two children Robert Hay born 1835 and Esther Hay born 1836.

Samuel Hay and Elizabeth Miles were married in Barony, Lanark, Scotland on 13 Jul 1832
Elizabeth Hay (Miles) died in May 1843 from a Blow to the head

Wondering is this is connected, As transcribed by Ancestry - possibly incorrectly?

FreeCEN (much more reliable than Ancestry but has much less coverage) has
James Kay 37 Hand loom weaver cotton
Elizabeth Miles 25
David Kay 8
Easter Kay 4
Robert Kay 1
Parents and David born Ireland, the others born Glasgow.

You need to go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and view the image of the original document to see what you think it actually says. It's pay per view but modestly priced.

You can also view the baptisms of Esther and Robert Hay and see what other information might be on the original. There are Robert, baptised 15 March 1835, and Esther, baptised 25 December 1836. Looks as if the first Robert must have died and a younger child whose baptism record has not survived was given the same name.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

          That's them I had Elizabeth Hay (Miles) born 1812 but that could be a mistake
her father was "James Miles" and mother "Janet Millar" Miller

The census still a bit of a problem

Don't forget that in the 1841 census adults' ages were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest 5 years. If she was born in 1812, she would have been 28 or 29 on the day of the 1841 census, and would have been recorded as 25.

Thank you for the info looks like you are right on the census info my cousin who is a Miles is working on the family and he has a David Hay  a son of Elizabeth and Samuel Hay.

This David Hay went to India.
