Here's William James' WWII draft registration card = https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKV7-9T29

A family tree has some death dates for him, Florence, and some of the children, but not all of the dates have sources - https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/9NS2-3QS

Florence's gravestone is here - https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/228543554/florence-corbett

There is a William Corbett in the same cemetery who died 11 Jan. 1943, but it's a different plot.  https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/260904122/william-corbett

There are parts of the NY death index from the 1940's that are rather illegible, but there is transcription of an entry that says William J. Cornett, died 11 Jan. 1943 at age 60.  No town is listed, and I can't read it looking at the image, but it looks like the surname could be Corbett.

I didn't notice it before, but it is written in on the top of this card "Deceased January 1943".

[/quote]

His father was called John Lockley Corbett - we think occupation is 'retired' but it also looks a bit like 'artist' - he was deceased at time of his son's wedding in 1928.

The groom's occupation is 'General Labourer'
