Hi Can anyone help me date this photo of my great grandfather William CHIFFEY

Guess at 1870's but NOT an expert, A tad easier to see perhaps

Was he the William Chiffey b 9.5.1794 Rochester Kent?  Parents George & Frances?

Died 1867 Surrey?

I'm tempted to say 1870s because of the neck wear.

No William Chiffey death in 1898 in England so must be another country

That's only what Rod said in the 2017 thread, Carole.

I still think it's most likely that the pic was taken in the 1870s. Those strange bow ties were 'in' then.
