     That is brilliant.
Thank you for that information. It is almost certainly a continuation of the family of the John Taylor in the 1834 Tithe record .  The names John and William are continued in the Children. Whether connected to the William at Ballyhulherland is open to conjecture.
Do you know if there are any local Family History Societies in the immediate area? possibly Clough ?

The parish falls within the catchment area of the Ballymena branch of the North of Ireland Family history society. You could contact them. Natalie Bodle is one of their members. She has her own website. Google her. She may be willing to help you research the family.

She knows me, so you can tell her I recommended her.

Thank you for that information. You have been most helpful.
I have been conducting this post on behalf of a lady living in Toduff who is a descendent of the McAllister Marriage at Clough and have passed on the informstion to her. it will be up to her to follow it up, I am in Aust, so its a long distance investigation for me.
Many thanks to all that have contributed to this post, we now have new leads to follow up.
