help please with burial st sepulchre's, 1764

Please can anyone help with the following burial in St Sepulchre's:

Henry Hunt buried 9/9/1764 "in Bay Cock Lane"

I presume that "in Bay Cock Lane" was the abode where the death occured.

But can anyone shed light on exactly what the "Bay" meant - I presume it was an area within the parish, presumably linked to The Old Bailey?

Also, am I right in assuming that he was actually buried in the graveyard of St Sepulchre's?

Cock Lane is the street where he died. ‘Bay’ is the name used for the graveyard that adjoined the church of St Sepulchre. (Nothing to do with the Old Bailey.)

The other overflow graveyard for St Sepulchre is noted in the register as ‘Chick’ and was off Chick Lane, on the west side of Smithfield.
