Living person electoral lookup request

Afternoon all,

A friend reached out and asked me to help trace a sister she only met once when she was younger.

Her father was married prior to marrying her mother.

She gave me a name, a first name of the mother and an approximate age which all seemed correct

I found her fathers marriage in 1975 to said woman

I found the birth of her half sister in 1981

I found her in the 2007 electoral register

Again in the 2011-2013 electoral register at a different address in the same city.

The house she was in, in 2011 hasn't been sold since 2007 so I had to tell my friend she could still live there, unless it's a rented property then she may not.

I was wondering if there's anybody who would be willing to help by looking at more recent records through private message to protect the identity of the woman in question.

My friend would like to write a letter to her half sister in the hope of making contact.

She may still live at the same address but now married, I found my info through Ancestry which searches by name not by house address.

Any help would be gratefully received

No clues as to which county you are looking in so difficult for anybody to know whether they could help as ER's for that period would need somebody to visit the RO

Have you tried using www.192.com or seeing if she's listed in the phone book (less likely these days)

2 other options - take a chance & send a letter to that address or depending on distance - check it by visit to see if she still lives there

I would do as Carole suggested and write to the last known address. It is possible that her name has been withheld on later  published Electoral  Registers.

There are two separate lists, one private and one public. Every time you get the householder gets the form to name the occupants of a property, you have the option for your details to be withheld from the published register.
