Brennans of Ballitore

I'm looking for more information on my grandfather's side of my family. I've been lucky enough to visit Ballitore, and I know the bare bones of information(I have contact details for some of my mother's surviving cousins).

My great grandfather was Peter Brennan(1865 - 1916). His wife was Ellen neι O'Shaugnessy (1881 - 1954). They had six children, four boys(Patrick, Peter John, Joseph, and Michael) and two daughters(Bridget Ellen and Mary Josephine). Peter worked as a groom and labourer, and they would travel to Cheltenham during racing season.

My great uncle Michael is a mystery. I've been told he died when he was 10, as a result of an accidental drowning. However, the only record I can find is of a child of the same name in Ennis, Co.Clare, so I'm not sure if that's him.
I'm also trying to find what stud my great grandfather would have worked for.

I'd be really grateful if anyone could help.

My great uncle Michael is a mystery. I've been told he died when he was 10, as a result of an accidental drowning. However, the only record I can find is of a child of the same name in Ennis, Co.Clare, so I'm not sure if that's him.

The Michael Brennan (aged 10) who died in Co Clare was a labourer's son. He died 25 March 1921 as a result of accidental drowning. His father John was the informant. The townland is hard to make out. (https://www.townlands.ie/)  #468

There was a Michael Brennan born 1911 to John Brennan and Bridget nee Sullivan of Bearnageeha, Ennis, which seems to match the age and address of the child drowned in 1921.  See below:-

I’ve tried all sorts of searches in the local papers and can’t find any mention of a drowning for Michael or any other kind of death, lots of other boys from all parts of the country.

Lots of things got overlooked in that period due to the War of Independence etc but you would expect something for a tragic child death, that said he’s not the first accidental child death with no newspaper report or death cert I’ve encountered, last one at least had a burial record.

Patrick was my maternal grandfather. He joined the army in the early 1930s, and was stationed at the then Portobello barracks in Rathmines. He married a local girl, named Mary, and had six children. Mary passed away in January 1962, and Patrick died in June 1970.
