What happened to Isabella?
« on: Thursday 26 September 24 15:58 BST (UK) »
Isabella Machell was my 2x great aunt, the older sister of my great-grandfather, Richard Greville Machell.
She was born 29 September 1862 in Killington, Westmorland. She’s with her family in Killington in the 1871 census.
She married Richard Iveson, a Joiner, 22 January 1881, in Kendal. In the 1881 census she and Richard are living at 78 Bridge End Old Hutton, Westmorland. Richard is a Joiner and Cabinet Maker born Sedbergh, Yorkshire, 1860.
I can’t find a trace of Isabella after 1881!! I’ve searched immigration records, death registers (the only Isabella Ivesons I’ve found aren’t the right Isabella). Any help finding her would be greatly appreciated!

(In 1891 Richard Iveson is Single (not a Widower), a Joiner, born 1863 Sedbergh, and living as a Boarder in Fairburn near Pontefract. He married Sophie Burden in 1891 and was a Bachelor.)

Info only. When Christopher Richard Iveson was baptised 20.11.1881 his dob was also recorded as 9.11.1881. Image on Ancestry.

1939 war register shows a Christopher R Clark with this same dob in Barnard Castle, and a wife.
