stone masons in Lenton 1880s-1890s
« on: Wednesday 18 September 24 11:24 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out why my great grandfather, Thomas King Millar, moved to Lenton sometime between 1871 and 1881 after living in Hessle, Yorks, for over 10 years. I presume it was for work. Was there any major building program happening in Lenton at that time that would have required a stone mason?  He moved on again before the 1991 census.
thanks for any suggestions.
