how to find right catholic church to get baptismal certificate
« on: Sunday 15 September 24 18:04 BST (UK) »
James Murphy was born 1910 4th quarter.  Fulham or southwark London

Michael Murphy was born 1912 4th qtr.  Holborn

Parents  names were James & Margaret Glynn Murphy

I am trying to find where I can find the  catholic church where they would have been baptized.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks  Sharon

If I have the right 1911 entry there were 2 other children before James

Which church did they marry in as it's possible that's where the children were baptised

On the 1911 census they were in Lambeth.

From find my past  there was a marriage of James Murphy & Margaret Glynn in 1906  in Southwark, London.  It doesn't  say what church.

Presumably that 1906 Southwark record is the GRO index on FindMyPast

If they were RC then the only way of finding the church is to buy a copy of the marriage cert

Hello
Could it be St George Southwark
James Murphy born 15.10.1910 bapt 1.11.1910 s of James Murphy and Margaret Glyn? indexed as Swart but obviously wrong,of 17 Sun St Buildings  Gpts Seargious Hibberd and Lucia Kelly

Not seeing Michael.
There is a Johnannes /John at Lincoln Inn Fields St Anselm and St Cecilia born 17 Aug 1914 bapt 30.8.1914  4 Red Lion Passage s of James and Margaret nee Glynn.
God mother Helena Glynn

I can't see one for the possible eldest daughter Margaret Elizabeth 1905 either.
