RC Parish of Magheralin Burial records
« on: Sunday 15 September 24 14:04 BST (UK) »
Hey everyone, wondered if someone would be able to advise me on burial records for magheralin RC parish records. In particular the years of 1867, 1885, 1891, 1904, 1928. Are these available. Im trying to find where my 2, 3, and 4 great grandparents are buried. I have come across one for the year 1866, top of the parish book states funerals, Then he is listed as 23rd January, John Smyth Drumnabreeze then the word Kilwarlin. Going of his Death cert Drumnabreeze is his address, But unsure what kilwarlin stands for. Would this be the actual graveyard??
Ill attach a pic for handiness.
Hopefully someone can help me. Thanks so much
Laura

Thanks so much Aghadowey.
Do you think the picture that i posted, could possibly be where John Smyth is buried? Kilwarlin I have been told is the name of St Colman's on the Bottier road, moira, where I am led to believe is the only burial ground for RC Magherlain parish. Hopefully this information is correct.
Thanks Laura

Yes that is a picture of what i attached. Im unsure though if hes burial ground is in Kilwarlin. From what i can find, drumnabreeze aint kilwarlin. So im assuming kilwarlin is his burial ground, which would make that the graveyard at St Colmans. Unless Im reading this register completely wrong, as it doesnt have alot of information on it

Thanks

The Lurgan Ancestry website has a few headstone photos and inscriptions for Kilwarlin Cemetery:

This inscription is included:
Erected in loving memory of Arthur and Margaret Smyth of North Street, Lurgan. And their daughter Margaret who died 10th February 1960.

Thanks Glensman, its actually Arthurs dad John and mother Jane im after. But ill take this aswell! Thanks so much!

If the burial record was clearer id be able to ask Magheralin if they have it, but dont want to go there incase Kilwarlin on the record doesnt meant buried there.

Evidently not. The burial entries on the page you post show entries for other locations, such as Magherlain.
