Would someone be so kind as to expand this tree for me Please...we have

1/ John....one would assume Surname Livingstone and maybe living at Tradeston Glasgow

     married

     Jane

     had Issue

     2/ Catherine [McMillan] Livingstone born 1841  Lanarkshire Scotland  died 1885 Massachusetts USA

          married 24 Sept 1869 Tradeston Glasgow Scotland

         Archibald McMillan born possibly 1841

         had Issue

         3/ Archibald McMillan b. 10 Jan 1871 Morton by Thornhill Dumfries Scotland

         3/ Jennie McMillan b. August 1872 Morton by Thornhill Dumfries Scotland

USA information we have BUT...

Catherine and Archibald are in the 1871 Scottish Census with one child young Archibald and Archibald seniors brother John b 1847 Morton

There is another Catherine and Archibald McMillan but born Douglas Lanarkshire...1881 Census ..wrong one!!!!!

Any help would indeed be a prize

Downloading the 1869 marriage cert will give the names of both sets of parents plus mothers maiden name

SP marriages show the surnames as Livingston (no e on end) & McMillan - not Mac - as does the 1871 census

You haven't given full 1871 details but looking at the info you have given shows them living in Dumfries -  Archilbald b Rothesay & his brother b Stirling.  Catherine b Glasgow
