I think Mary Jane Pickles was born in 1880 in Thornton, Yorkshire, England to George and Annie Pickles. Her siblings were Calvin and Edith Pickles.

U.S. Border Crossing - May 7, 1929
Seaport of landing - Portland, ME (Maine).  Date of landing - 1903

In one document, he stated that he arrived in 1902.  Could this be his arrival to North America (incorrect year, though):

Tunisian, arrived 1 April, 1901, Portland, Maine.  Departed from Liverpool, England
James Dickson, age 26 (born c1875), single.  Occupation: Lab.  Could read and write.
Last residence: “Edinboro”.  Final destination: Winnipeg
Contract No.: 8276

Possibly traveling with James?
James Robertson, age 30 (or 20), married.  Same details as above, including the contract number.
Shown directly under Mr. Robertson, Hanna and Alex (child).

Did James know a Robertson family?  ???

James Ogilvie Dickson b. 27 Apr 1875 d. 21 Sep 1939. It doesn't look like he remarried.

There was another James Dickson living in Victoria who married a Margaret Pratt in 1920. It's not the same James as your James O. Dickson.

…I'm unable to find a sailing for him after 1891 but have found him on census records in Canada…

Apparently, James Robertson was James Dickson’s brother-in-law (and Hanna was an older sister).

Many many thanks to everyone who looked up the information, especially Michelle and Lisa.  I couldn't have done it without you.
Lisa, it's still the same in Scotland.  Deaths are registered for women under maiden name.  James's sister Hannah was married to James Robertson
I made a mistake with the manifest for 1932.   It's for 1930.  Maddy, I've sent  PM with the document

Haven't received the pm yet, however I think the entry for 2 Nov 1930 says James O DICKSON is accompanied by a William CROWE.

Hi,

Sometimes with border crossings, they like to have next of kin for the person who is accompanying, which is recorded on the back of the card.....Maude Crowe, 5757 Curr St., Vancouver and as they
were driving across, the make of car, Ford Sedan with a BC car license plate is also noted.
