Anne Power death in 1903. Age 63 years, suggests birth about 1840.

You refer to the death of an Antony Mcdonald in 1865 aged 50.  The record  has not been imaged/uploaded to Irish Genealogy yet. If you have got it could you advise who reported the death please and the cause of death.

A Bridget McDonald also dies in Naas in 1865
Probably referring to this one in Mylerstown informant appears to be daughter Ann McDonald.

If this is the correct family be aware that Caragh Parish is rather difficult to research.
The original register is locked away, no access allowed.
The records on NLI are mostly a transcript which is full of errors
For example the Civil record of Alice’s marriage gives the date as 26 Feb
But on NLI the date appears to be 26 July, with Feb written over.
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000634418?locale=en#page/46/mode/1up
It also doesn’t give her father’s name, however if you look on FamilySearch church records the date is correct and her father’s name is recorded

Roots Ireland is likely to have the same as Family Seach.

Yeah Alice Power marriage is Feb 26 1865, i have the certificate with that date on it.

That came from another persons family tree on ancestry, you get hints from people researching the same person in your family tree. But it may or may not be true.

You have posted on the Beginners board & given no information about what country or county  she was born in or where the marriage took place??

Where did you get the birthyears from?

You need to include all relevant info

I still consider myself a beginner, Ireland is the country and Kildare would be the county.
The other information came from ancestry hints from other people researching the same family, but they don't have her mother either. I want to check to make sure it is right before adding it to my tree.

I agree with Carole - difficult to advise with little information. If it is your tree, where did you find Alice?

Is this the marriage?
1868, County Kildare
William Power -widower
Anne McDonald spinster

I found Alice or Alicia a while back, took a long time to find her mother Anne McDonald, but now i'm questioning that fact whether or not Anne was her Mother or her Step-mother given the birth years between her and her siblings.

Yeah Alice Power marriage is Feb 26 1865, i have the certificate with that date on it.

Notice that Alicia Power, whose father was William Power (a farmer), was living in the townland of Waterstown. Close to both Carragh and Naas.

It does say Widower on there for William, so there was a first wife before Anne then.
So Alice/Alicia does have a different mother to her siblings.

That looks about right, she did have a son called Anthony.
