RAF 1950,s uniform badges

Hi all
IAM trying to put together a memories board together with pictures etc of my father who serviced in the RAF in the late 1940,s to the end of the 50,s..He was a corporal Technician based in the Suez crisis.
So looking for pictures of the correct uniform badges that was worn by his rank,...Also am I correct thinking his 2 Stripes where worn upsidedown ??

Yes you are correct. The rank of Technician Corporal  was introduced in 1950 and the correct badge would be the one shown below. This designation was abolished after your father had left the RAF. As the above article recognises, the RAF rank structure in use betwen 1950 and 1964 was split between those who gained their rank for their technical capabilities, and those who were promoted for their command abilities.  The Army had a similar approach, where T trade pay and ranks (up to sergeant) were based solely on a serviceman's trade progression through tests and trade boards.
