Ancestry DNA query
« on: Saturday 31 August 24 20:22 BST (UK) »
On my Ancestry paid subscription I can see which parent my DNA came from.  ie Wales 31% from my father 0% from my mother.

My son did a DNA test purely out of ethnic curiosity but has no interest in family history nor does he have a paid subscription, he only has a little tree on there of about 20 people which I created for him

I was curious about which country the DNA came from me or his father with his test, I just accessed his account and it doesn't show this parentage breakdown without paying for a subscription.  That doesn't seem right as the test is not cheap.  Is there any other way to find out?

Ask him to share his DNA results with you. He'll need to go to his DNA Summary, click on the cog in the top right, scroll down to "DNA Test Sharing", then invite you to access his results.

After you've accepted, his results will be visable to you on your account and you'll be able to access all the features that you currently have with your subscription.
