PR's in GL
« on: Sunday 25 August 24 22:54 BST (UK) »
Pardon my ignorance, but what does "PR's in GL" mean?

Obviously PRs stand for parish records, but what is GL short for?

For example:
St Sepulchre Holborn
aka Holy Sepulchre Without Newgate
Situated: Holborn Viaduct
PR's in GL: baptisms 1662-1886, marriages 1662-1901, burials 1662-1857
Later baptisms and marriage registers held by incumbent.

GL = Guildhall Library.
But they're not there any longer - they're at The London Archives (formerly London Metropolitan Archives).
