Tuesday 26th November 2024, 7.30 pm - 9.00 pm (Zoom sign-in from 7.15pm)
As an additional talk Dorset Family History Society will be hosting an online Zoom meeting entitled ‘UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS - FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO THE AMERICAN DREAM’ by JACKIE DEPELLE.
Jackie Depelle presents a case study at this Zoom meeting. Her story takes us from Norfolk to New York with an upwardly mobile gentleman. Whether he spends his life upstairs or downstairs we will have to wait and see!
From film and fiche to the virtual world, Jackie teaches Family History and presents at major international events online and in person. She thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to meet people from across the country via zoom as well as listening and learning from colleagues at online shows and tutorials. Jackie also keeps in touch with volunteers through membership of the Guild of One Name Studies, British Association for Local History, Society for One Place Studies, various Family History Societies across the UK and Historians Collaborate.
Society Members who have consented to receive information by e-mail will find a meeting invitation link, and how to donate the £3 admission, in the E-News sent about 4 days before the meeting.
Those who do not receive E-News, or who are not Society Members, are welcome to join this meeting and should follow the link on the website
www.dorsetfhs.org.uk or email
liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk to request an invitation link at least 6 hours before the meeting is due to start. A donation of £3 paid via the website on the Society shop would be most appreciated.
EVERYONE WELCOME TO JOIN THE MEETING
