Dorset Family History Society’s AGM & Monthly Meeting
« on: Saturday 24 August 24 15:53 BST (UK) »
Tuesday 19th November 2024, 7.30 - 9.00pm (Doors open from 7pm)

Dorset Family History Society will be hosting their AGM at St George's Church Hall, Darby’s Lane, Oakdale, POOLE, Dorset, BH15 3EU followed by a display and explanation of WWII UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT by STEVE LIMBURN.

The short Annual General Meeting will be at the start of the meeting.
Members only can vote at the AGM.  The agenda and reports will be published in the member area of our website 14 days beforehand.

This will be followed by a display and explanation of  WWII uniforms and equipment presented by Steve Limburn.

Dorset Family History Society welcomes the return of Steve who is the President of the Bournemouth Natural Science Society and Museum which some of us were delighted to visit a few years ago.

Steve has previously brought along uniforms and artefacts from WW1 when we celebrated 100 years since the end of the Great War and this time, with reminders of D-Day still on our minds and Remembrance Day nearly here, Steve has kindly agreed to bring WW2 British and German uniforms, military equipment and memorabilia for us to see.  He will be happy to answer any questions those attending may have.

Please note some of Dorset FHS's Meetings are held by Zoom to enable those further afield to attend.

Also please check members E-news or the website www.dorsetfhs.org.uk should there be any last minute changes.

Entry is £3 to include tea/coffee and biscuits.
