Really loose possibility here, but thought I would mention anyway.
Rosie's burial record gives Philadelphia's year of birth as c.1772.
Baptisms of children to a John and Philadelphia Cork take place between 1794 and 1807, in various different parishes in Kent starting in Linton. There is no obvious marriage I can see.
However, a few years before in 1792 in Plaxtol, Kent, a Sarah is baptised to a John and Phillis Cork. No other children after this to a couple with these names.
Matching marriage in East Peckham, Kent, in 1789 between a John Cork and Phillis Paris. Both made their mark.
Here's what interests me: there is no Phillis Paris baptised in Kent in the relevant time period, but there
is a Philadelphia Paris baptised on 12th May 1771 in Wrotham, Kent to William & Mary.
I guess the question is whether anyone has heard of Phillis being used as a variant of Philadelphia (which would have been very challenging to spell). Also lots of moving around various parishes in Kent, which makes it more difficult.
