I have a collection of postcards sent by my great grandfather to my great grandmother from c1903 till they married in 1909.
A family member told me that they were penpals before they met.
I know that these days, people can be a penpal with anyone serving in the Armed Forces, so I am wondering if this was a “thing” back then?
Thank you x
