Ballyalbany Presbyterian registers lookup request
« on: Friday 16 August 24 16:34 BST (UK) »
Hello

Does anyone have access to the parish register CD's for Ballyalbany, 2nd Monaghan and Ballinode, Tedavnet Church of Ireland and could do some lookups for me?

I have the Ballyalbany transcriptions created by the  late Jack Storey. What names are you looking for information on ?

Hello

Thank you for replying.  I have Farrell ancestors who were protestant most of whom are under the Clogh C of I parish registers.

The exception is that James Farrell senior of Derryleedigan, Clones had at least three children but they are not in the Clogh registers nor his marriage and I don't know the name of his wife.  The Wesleyan Methodist registers don't go back far enough and I am wondering if he had his children baptised Presbyterian.  Ballyalbany and Stonebridge seem the most likely.

Are there any references to James Farrell senior or junior and family in the Ballyalbany registers?  This is 1802 to 1864 period.

Also are there any references to Charles and Jane Beard/Baird, Mary Wray and Richard Wray, Thomas Farrell and Pheme Maguire Farrell or any Heaney's?

Thanks.

Sorry no trace of these people.

The only Farrell’s mentioned are both female and much later  1887 & 1985
There is a Jane Beard listed as the 3rd daughter of Walter Beard and Elizabeth MacDonald
No Wray listed
The only Heaney’s are 1915 William son of James

Presbyterian churches are grouped by Presbyteries not Parishes and each church keeps it's own records. It's also worth noting that Presbyterians didn't always go to the nearest church and that most married would have taken place in the bride's church.
