The Thomas McGUIRE mentioned in the will of Charles McGUIRE may be this one:
https://ndhadeliver.natlib.govt.nz/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE10765229

If so, the mother is 'Don't know'.

The above Thomas McGUIRE - born 5 / 8 / 1892 - birthplace : Waihou - Mother:  Unknown - Father on attestation form listed as Charles McGUIRE - may well be the following child ?

1892/ 9676  - TWIDLE - Thomas - date of birth (as deduced from online birth registration listing)
              is  >   5 / 8 / 1892
NZ Birth index (ex ancestry.com) shows this birth was registered at > Te Aroha.

The mother's name is of course shown on the online birth index ...  I'm leaving it out of this post until I can confirm further information for her. ;)    [There is a birth (hers) / a marriage and quite a few other children born of that union. ]

The Charles McGUIRE that Neale1961 found appears to be the only one in New Zealand between 1876 and 1919.

His date of death is 4 August 1918.

... his date of death was actually   14 August 1918.   ;)

The additional information that the family have is that Charles died Te Aroha Hamilton New Zeland on date in August 1918.

Thay have also found Probate (Will) document which was made in Hamilton also around 5th of August 1918 just days before death.

As he had a Son Thomas born 1892 I was searching for a Marriage record before 1892 which may have detailed his Fathers name in Ireland.

Hello Summer18

As has already been mentioned here by others, there is no record of marriage for Charles McGUIRE (or var. spellings) on the New Zealand index.  [Note:  A New Zealand marriage record prior to October 1880, would not however show parental details for bride or groom. ]

Just so we can further check records, can you please advise us on the following > >

*    Is the Thomas McGUIRE you have on your records, the man who married Olive H. HEALD in 1925 ?

*    If so, do you have a copy of this 1925 marriage record (printout version, rather than a marriage certificate will give maximum information) ... and does it show the mother's name for the groom ?
[ Note:  Already mentioned here that the mother's name is missing (not recorded) from the Attestation record (NZ Army) for Thomas McGUIRE - Reg. # 70178 - born 5/8/1892 - whose father is Charles McGUIRE of Te Aroha. ]

[ You may be aware, that there are a number of "family trees" posted to the ancestry.com website, which contain references to Charles McGUIRE / Kate TWIDLE  later Kate MORSE / and the 1892 child Thomas McGUIRE ?   ]

Thank you so much for your interest and information.
I reside in Donegal Ireland wherby the relations of Charles and Thomas McGuire reside in Hamilton New Zealand but I will seek additional information around what you have requested.

When Charles Maguire/McGuire arrived Auckland on the ship Orari on 2nd November 1876 from Donegal Ireland he gave his age as 34.

When the same Charles died Te Tehora on 14th August 1918 the daily newspaper reporting his obituary stated his age as 94 and that he had resided there for more than forty years and on consideration of this, a revised calculation   would indicate that on arrival in Auckland 1876 the named Charles was age 52 and Not 34.

With his place of residence in Ireland being Donegal I am researching Tithe allotments from Ireland 1840s and Griffiths valuations also ireland 1850/58  to assist in locating a Charles Maguire residing in Donegal  because in Ireland he would have been known as Maguire.
