Good evening

I have been researching John William coley bn 5/7/1899 (father George coley and mother Sarah weobley ( sometime holtham) from Ledbury.

John William coley died in October 1972 in Ross Herefordshire

Ancestry suggests he was married to Edith coley ( can’t find a maiden name) although living relatives recall he was married to a woman named Florence and lived possibly in shard end Bham .

I can only find a probate entry to an Edith coley passing away 11/9/1946
And the inheritance going to John William coley ( but it says he’s retired ) of 
18 Sun street west edgbaston.

Our John William coley would only be 46-47 in 1946, so I’m doubting it’s our JHC ( would be nice to retire at 46)

Is anyone able to confirm if it’s our JHC ? And I can’t find an entry for Florence either as a later marriage? Family rumour says she was Malaysian.

The Edith Coley at that address on the 1939 register is married to a William Coley but his birthdate is 1893. She was born 1889.

Your John W appears to be with edith in Nottingham in 1939, same birthdate.

Freebmd have a marriage 1933 Ledbury  Edith Walker and John W Coley, moves around a bit doesn't he!

😂 thank you , we assume she dies young / divorce and then marries ? Or co habits with Florence
