Does anyone know if any of the schools in the town of Wexford have records going back to the 1860s?

No idea. But in any case there were quite a few schools. Which one(s) are you interested in? Boys or girls? Catholic, Protestant, or national?

Here in Northern Ireland many school records and registers are deposited in PRONI, Belfast. It may be that ones for Wexford and other parts of Ireland are deposited in Dublin.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thanks. I saw the County Archive website, but they don't have any for Wexford town. It made me wonder whether other schools still had records. The family I'm interested in were Catholic and lived in The Folly area and Fisher's Row (or Byrne's Lane).

The Tate school is Wexford town.

Most National Schools retain their records. for Fishers row and the Folly you can try The Faythe National School which is run by the St John of God Order. The Faythe School tookboth Boys& girls. Boys  up to the age of 7 then they proceeded to the CBS Primary School Bride Street Wexford run by the Christian Brothers. Girls remained in the Faythe until they reached 12 Years of age.
