Oh that is even better,the ones used at the schools where I worked were just black and white ,super thanks.
I see numbers in colour, because on the school wall in my first school there were sets if cardboard counters set out like the configuration on playing cards and dominoes.
1white
2 green
3 yellow
4 red
5 magenta.etc .
Mind you why they were there was anybodies idea because we got smacked if we looked at them!
For ages I did dots as I counted ,with my chalk on the little dark green what looked like linoleum squares.
It was a revelation many years later how interesting maths could be presented to four year olds .
Scottish Maths was like a comic, funny and so interesting , the reception class especially got on in leaps and bounds ,because it was fun.
