In case you're interested in ordering the death records, this site gives more information:  https://onondaga.gov/vital/genealogy/

This gives information about marriage records at the bottom:  http://www.ongov.net/clerk/faqs.html

One thing that's important to know about ordering records from New York state is that it's best to order from the local level when possible.  Ordering from the state (these orders go to Albany, the state capital) involves a wait time of over 3 years for genealogical records.  It's usually much faster from the local level.

Also, there are various Syracuse newspapers on www.fultonhistory.com, and there seem to be mentions of this family.

Thank you all for the information and help in such a short time, much appreciated. I've found the marriage of the parents of Bridget Webb. Charles Webb and Bridget Commerford married 18 Aug 1880 in Queenston,Ontario, Canada. Charles was 24 and the son of Alfred Webb and Jane who were also living in Canada.

It would be interesting to know where Charles was born in 1856 and where in England his parents Alfred and Jane married.

Are there Immigration records online? If Elizabeth Bowman was born in Germany her surname probably was Baumann in German but its complicated to research someone without knowing the name of place or county there were from

There are some immigration records online, but the earlier ones tend to give limited information.

This has links to passenger lists to Canada (among other countries) - https://www.germanroots.com/international-passenger-lists.html

And passenger lists to the US - https://www.germanroots.com/onlinelists.html

I believe the 1881 census stated Charles’ middle name was William.

If Clara Florence was Charles’ sister, then Charles’ parents were Alfred Webb and Jane Wright.  Source: Clara’s 1900 Ontario marriage document.
