It's been a nice sunny day here, with a little time on my hands have drawn up a list of children to James & Mary Ann. I can modify if other's send or post additions etc. Deaths in red

James Evans 7.9.1872 (1939 register) on 1881 census aged 8 born Birmingham. Died 1951 Hull
Frederick Evans c1878 Leeds on 1881 census, died aged 9 Howden 1887
Louisa Evans Smith 1881-1881 Howden
Joseph Smith Evans 20.08.1882 Newport--marries 1903
Henrietta Smith 28.1.1885--details known
Minnie Smith Evans. Born 29.4.1887, baptised 16.5.1887-image on FindMyPast Died aged 2 1889
George Henry Evans (dob 12.1.1891) Howden died 1955 Hull
Edward Smith Evans dq 1892 Howden--died 14th November 1916 France & Flanders
Harriet Ann Evans jq 1895 Howden

Seemingly a 10th child according to 1911 census. Suspect born & died 1872-1878.
