Apparently harriet was born 1895ish  and harriets mother who was a lady gave it all up would never use her title again .. so if garrets maiden name was evans must mean she married   A  ? Jaeger  she gets so confused x

This is interesting.
In 1911, Maria Ann Evans is recorded as ‘widow’ whilst James Smith Evans is ‘head’.

I can’t spot them in 1901
