Yes, lots of connections. Including one which, if I can prove it, would make me related to just about every European royal and noble person ever. And of course, to all the notorious criminals!

It's no big deal, really - if you get back far enough we're all related to royalty. In fact it would be far more surprising to find someone of British descent who could be proved not to be descended from royalty.

Take, for example, Kenneth MacAlpin, who united the Picts and the Scots in the 9th century. If one generation is 30 years, that's about 40 generations back. If every one of those 40 generations had just two children, there would by now be 1,099,511,627,776 descendants in the 40th generation, which is over 130 times the total population of the Earth, and getting on for 16,000 times the population of Britain.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

And this from Who Do You Think You Are magazine:

The 13 monarchs who reigned between 1066 and 1485 fathered at least 40 bastards between them. Henry II leads the field with around 20. On his episode of Who Do You Think You Are?, Danny Dyer discovered that he's descended from Edward III — but he's not alone, as the king's legitimate and illegitimate descendants of Edward III are believed to be in excess of four million. Some experts believe that practically everyone alive with British ancestry will have a connection with this king.

Just curious, have you done all of the research yourself or does it come from online trees.  :-\

ADDED. Sorry, I am just intrigued as to how long this process takes and where you go to look at all the records that take you back prior to parish registers

So, you haven't done any research yourself?

Public trees are notorious for their errors.
You really need to double check them.

Ive been researching since before the internet was a thing, and I am very pleased to have got back to mid-1500's.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

Ancestry and MyHeritage are notorious for peddling arrant nonsensical garbage alongside some useful stuff. You must not trust anything you find on any commercial web site, and those two web sites in particular. Use it as a pointer to your own research, but don't expect it all to be correct.
