KG is correct about online records from those websites.  It is always best to do your own research.  Just because more than one person has the same information on their tree it does not mean it is correct but more likely it has been blindly copied on from other trees without checking with original sources.

May I just point out that very little of what Scottish information there is on those web sites is actual records. Most of it is transcriptions or index listings.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

thank you that is all i wanted to know about these two sites. all the kings and queens i don't believe at all and all the famous people as well i don't believe. but all the other family stuff i have got is all been verified. so thank you to everyone for all the help
