Sandie,
I believe I may know of your Miles Swift who married Rebecca in 1866.
I think he was the son of William and Susannah Swift from Brampton Chesterfield.
If so William and my Miles swift were brothers.
Your Miles I believe died in 1867 and was buried at Wardsend cemetery 5 Feb 1867 aged 41.
Was your Miles a grate fitter?
If so he was in Leicester with his widowed mother in 1841, Derby with his widowed mother in 1851 and Sheffield in 1861.
William and Susannah were in Chesterfield area until at least 1828.
They had following children
James bap 5/2/1815
Francis bap 11/6/1819
William bap 4/5/1817
Elizabeth (Betsy) bap 16/1/1822
Miles bap 22/8/1824
Joseph bap 6/7/1828
and possibly others.
They possibly moved to Sheffield after this.
I don't know when William died but must have been before 1841 census when Susannah was in Leicester with her family.
Regards
Jean
