I think the ages are a little out for that Robert, Arranroots, in 1881 he is 30 born Bristol, and Caroline is 35, born Somerset, also children Arthur 12, Walter 10, Albina Jane 8, Alice Maud 6, George 3, all born Somerset Yatton, only the baby Robert Henry 6 months was born Dowdeswell, Glos, seems we should be looking in Yatton but I can't find them there.

You are welcome Jacques - knew we would get to the right place in the end!  ;D

Now you can have fun with your atlas, trying to work out where all these funny place names are!  I'm sure some of them aren't correct, but I transcribed them as well as I could.

MaryA - sorry not to answer your point - the ages are way out!  :D  Maybe he was embarrassed at the gap??

Arranroots,  After realising that something like that and a step name coming into it, I sat back and watched your artistry at work!  :D

I have a great grandfather Robert Lancastle who married Caroline Weaver (nee Hawkins) some time after 1878.  Caroline was baptised 19.01.1845 in Kenn, Somerset.  I have more details of children she had with John Weaver (who she married in 1868 when aged 22) and other children with Robert Lancastle.

Robert Lancastle and Caroline had a son Robert Henry Lancastle on 03.03.1881 who later took the name Williams.  We think it was because he was lodging with a family named Williams.  Caroline was later associated with a James Williams but no record of marriage.
So we lost the surname Lancastle.
