Which church is this record linked to, please?
« on: Wednesday 24 July 24 09:49 BST (UK) »
Hi,

One of those annoying things that Ancestry do, which is to put up the below without showing the actual burial record page source so I have not been able to find out which church the below records are linked to.  Please can someone advise me how to find the correct church using the below record?: -

Name   Nancy Homer
Gender   Female
Death Age   68
Birth Date   1750
Death Date   abt 1818
Burial Date   8 Mar 1818
Burial Place   Worcester, England
FHL Film Number   350493
Reference ID   p 148, #1179

It's an FHL film.
That's familysearch.

Go to familysearch.org.
Click on 'catalog' in the headings bar.
Under 'film/fiche' put in the number it gives you - in this case 350493.

This takes you to the the Bishop's Transcripts for the Diocese of Worcester.
If you scroll through the pages to find the film number, it says 'Kidderminster Deanery'.
Unfortunately is has a key symbol next to the camera icon, so it is only viewable in an LDS Family History library or affiliate library.
Some libraries are classed as affiliate libraries - I know my city one is, otherwise you'd need to visit an LDS library.

Oldswinford

It would be very helpful to know where and how you found this sugarbakers.
Some sort of evidence for a statement is always a good idea.

Ancestry - Parish Registers - Deaths & Burials - Oldswinford, Worcestershire .... Image

Thanks and it was working well until I came across these for the same person, Jesse Homer born: 17 December 1797 and he appears to have been buried in two different places!  The first one, which I believe to be correct as this is in Stourbridge.

The second one down mentions him having being buried at Holy Cross Pershore and Saint Andrew Pershore, Worcestershire, England, which surely cannot be correct?? ???
