I have found Samuel’s Death in the paper!!

108, Westgate Road, on the 13th inst., aged 42, Samuel Lee.

18 April 1884

Samuel from Marylebone looks like the only real contender now.

Looks like his parents were Samuel Lee and Mary Ann Taylor who married on 4 March in Southwark. They had several children before Samuel, some in Newington and William in Marylebone

Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott

I did wonder whether Elizabeth wasn't really a widow in 1881 and they had separated.
I am having trouble locating Elizabeth in 1881 and now that we know Samuel was alive in 1881, can't find him either. I think Samuel snr was living with a married daughter and family.

I cant find the whole family in 1881.

I’m guessing they are at 108 Bath Lane Westgate Road Newcastle but still need to pin that one down!

I’m in the process of searching various spelling for that year.

The missing gaps are getting smaller! Thank you all ☺️
