There are indexes on paid sites and I can’t yet see a marriage.
Where do you have that information?

I was checking it out because it was a guess based on dates of birth of the children that I wanted to verify or delete the information. Could even be the wrong irish county. You know how genealogy works or not.

Do you mean there is no connection to Kilkenny?
It is such a specific choice.

Were they in Scotland?  There are some published trees.
The transcription of 1851 census in Cardross gives ‘Dagnall’ as place of birth for Catherine and child, John with Ireland for the other children.
This may mean Donegal.

I missed that  little gem of info and not be conversant with the geography of the counties in Ireland.
Although I did check it out earlier today.
It certainly keeps the brain stimulated and working. So thank you for that helpful tip.

I meant to ask who had the "Dagnall" across from their name - William or Catherine?

I named them earlier

William was not listed in the 1951 census. Ancestry has transcripts of Scottish censuses and you can purchase copies here
