Marriage : John Curran Baines - Hannah ?

John Curran Baines was born in Liverpool in August 1884, the son of Richard Baines (Titanic crew - lost at sea 1912) and Saran Ann Baines (nee Curran).

New York Naturalization Records show John Curran Baines of 6 Fulton Street Liverpool emigrated from Southampton to America in 1905.   The record shows his wife as Hannah (no surname/maiden name) born 10 July 1887 in Liverpool

The records suggest John and Hannah married prior to their emigration (in Liverpool?) but I cannot find a marriage record.   I've tried various surname spellings with no luck.

Help please - for a marriage record

Have you found a marriage on freebmd?  I can't see one so they may have married in the USA.

Have you looked for them on a US census to check Hannah's nationality

His 1924 US Naturalization Petitions record indicates wife Hannah was born in Liverpool.

An earlier Naturalizations record also gives her birthplace as Liverpool.

Thanks for your help and although  records support and suggest a marriage in Liverpool searches have drawn a blank.

Have you found them together in any US or UK census records? Any death records for either?

Do you have JCB in any US Passenger records? There should be some, as the ship name is mentioned in his US Naturalization records.

The marriage of John's parents Richard and Sarah, was a Catholic marriage.  Perhaps John and Hannah also had a Catholic marriage?   Not sure if this is relevant for record purposes
