Seabrook - Tipton - What or Where was it?
« on: Tuesday 16 July 24 14:55 BST (UK) »
Hoping for a little local knowledge. In 1854 my many time great grandparents were married in the Parish church of Tipton. Both of them gave their address at the time as “Seabrook.” Does anyone know if this address/location actually existed? Could it have been a colloquial term used by locals? Could it be a typo and if so what is it likely to have been! Any help gratefully received.

Cas, it certainly could be. Sea, seemed a little strange given the lack of proximity in the midlands. Lea brook and its location next to Wednesbury makes far more sense. The next census puts them living in Wednesbury. Thanks for your help. Jim
