George Dustan - a bit of a mystery
« on: Saturday 13 July 24 09:41 BST (UK) »
Have seen copy of baptism certificate George Cecil Denys Dustan West Malling, Rochester, Kent born 29 Nov 1917, bp (privately) 12 Feb 1918 - mother May Dustan (abode London).
George married 11 Sept 1939 in Lewisham, Kent to Ellen Margaret Lambert
Looking for George birth record and where might May be in 1911 census
The grand-daughter of George is a DNA match to my dad so we are trying to find out more about George
George was adopted by Randall family but used the Dustan name after marriage
Any suggestions, thanks .......... Alison

He is on the 1921 census as Randall, his marriage in 1939 is DUNSTAN, not Dustan?
Either way no GRO registration.

Not that this helps finding his birth entry.....just confirming dob

School admission record 10 8 25 for George Cecil Dennis RANDALL has same dob as baptism 29 11 17 and his death entry George Cecil D DUSTAN dob 29 11 1917 died 2000

Two possible census returns in the London area in 1911.

To everyone who replied overnight, thankyou so much for the clues to follow. Sincerely appreciate the time and effort others have taken to assist in solving the mystery. I will pass on all the details to the grand-daughter of George, kind regards and thanks again ..... A
