Hello all,

I have hit a brick wall with ancestors and wondering if anyone can please help with any information on them. My grandfather Donald MacKillop b.1913 was born and brought up in Lochhournhead, Scotland. His mother Maggie never married and her parents were:
Angus MacKillop (1850 - Nov 9 1928) and Sarah MacPherson (c1849 - Dec 28 1913).
Angus' parents were:
John MacKillop (c1798 - Feb 15 1888) and
Margaret MacMillan (1807 - June 20 1870).
John's parents are named as Donald MacKillop and Euphemia MacLeod on his death cert. I suspect Donald may have been a brother of Duncan 'Scotland' MacKillop from Lochaber, but found no info to confirm this. Fairly certain I am related to Duncan MacKillop's family somehow but can't pinpoint it.

Margaret MacMillan's parents were Angus MacMillan (c1785 - between 1841 and 1851) and Isabella MacDonald (c1779 - Jan 6 1874). Isabella's parents are named as John MacDonald And Rachel MacGillivray on her death certificate on SP but I can't find any other info on them anywhere. How does anyone narrow down which John MacDonald they are related to when there are so many?!

My G Grandmother Maggie MacKillop's mother Sarah MacPherson's parents were Neil MacPherson and Mary MacCallum, who are named on Sarah's death cert on SP. Unable to find anything beyond Neil and Mary.

They were all from around the Glenelg area, as far as I'm aware, except from Angus MacMillan who was from Kilmallie. I have been using DNA matches on MH and 23andme for around a year to try and make connections, but going around in circles and it's driving me crazy.
